Residency

A residency focused on sustainable ways of art making from concept to ideation. A slow, attentive engagement with landscape, materials, and makers, where listening becomes a method and giving back becomes a responsibility.

During my residency at Quinta das Relvas in Porto, Portugal, I delved into the connections between sustainability, permaculture, and art. I spent time collecting local elements and exploring their potential for pigments, paper, clay making, and so much more. The residency emphasized the importance of play in the creative process, allowing me to experiment freely and uncover new possibilities. I also had the chance to exchange art practices with other participants and visit exhibitions, which deepened my understanding of sustainable approaches in both traditional and contemporary art. This experience was a reminder of the transformative potential of local resources and the joy that comes from curiosity-driven creation.
