Residency

A self-led residency deeply rooted in cultural heritage, ecology, and craftsmanship. Learning from landscape, makers, and materials through presence and practice.

I also spent time foraging stones and rocks from different ecosystems around the island, transforming them into pigments that could be used across various mediums. I embraced a playful and experimental approach, exploring the creative potential of natural materials I encountered, such as the skeletons of cacti and the white sap from branches that I imagined could become a paste or binder.

This residency reminded me that when we view nature as a collaborator, the possibilities for creation are endless. It was a journey of discovery, where I found inspiration in the land itself and its boundless creative potential.

Medium Gardening waste, cacti skeleton, ice plants, charcoal from fire, minerals and rocks
